We all know that the biggest barrier to Latino student success is the lack of access to
opportunity and justice in the education system. But what if the solution was cultivating bold,
courageous and values-based leaders? When individuals from the communities most impacted
by education inequities are the ones making decisions for all students, we can expect that the
interests of Latino students will be better represented and better informed. Learn about how to
best create an environment that promotes data-driven governance from the classroom to the
boardroom and the role current leaders can play in utilizing their lived experience to ensure they
are upholding and creating policies that support Latino and students of color.
